Hamilton Branch Meeting - "A Drone view from across the ditch"

AGENDA; Guest Speaker: Mr.Timothy Graham. "A Drone view from across the ditch".
Tim will give us an insight on the Australian RPAS skyscape and the current CASA regulatory projects that have recently been consulted on and the impacts on the RPAS industry. He will give an overview on some of the operations that some Australian RPAS operators have been conducting within Australia and overseas,including Vanuatu and Zimbabwe. Tim works for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) which he has for the past 8.5 years.
Five of these as a research and analysis officer in the RPAS Branch. Tim obtained a Bachelor of Aviation management and Masters of Aviation from Massey University, an Australian Remote Pilot Licence and is an active model aircraft pilot. With the recent increase in drone activity in NZ, this will be an interesting talk, so grab a friend and come.
Thanks to all those (23) who came to last month's meeting,when Bruce Aitken (92) well known Ag pilot and stunt flier gave us all an inspiring talk about his 30yrs of running a topdressing company and accumulating 18,000hrs and surviving eight near fatal plane crashes.Bruce was able to sell some copies of his book,autographed by him,a copy will now be in our library.
Next month,May,we are looking at doing visits to Vicker's a/c Comp.and PAC, details have already been sent out to gauge no's and final details will be actioned later. Also, on Sat/27th/April,there is the unveiling of the statue for Sir Keith Park at the Thames RSA memorial at 11am, everybody is welcome to attend this function.
