Welcome again to the Wellington Branch lecture nights.
This month we start with the Wellington Branch AGM and election of officers for the 2018 year.

Following the AGM will be an update on the New Southern Sky programme:
- The first major new rule that has been drafted by the CAA policy team for Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) use above Flight Level 245;
- Ground Based Navigation Aid Review panel recommendations on a Minimum Operating Network to Airways;
- The Performance Based Navigation (PBN) roll-out with RNP-AR trials underway at Christchurch and planned for Wellington and what happens next with uncontrolled aerodromes;
Safety, Environmental, Economic and Social Benefits have recently been assessed and are being delivered by the programme – this review will provide the details.
Last month the Branch Chairman, David Saunders, reported on his UK visit to the de Havilland Aircraft Museum at Salisbury Hall, Shenley, London Colney and a subsequent visit to AvSpecs Ltd at Ardmore; both to look at Mosquito aircraft in different stages of restoration and rebuild. He also briefly reviewed a visit to the Museum of Transport and Technology (MoTaT) in Auckland. Prior to commencing his presentation David ran a slideshow of his photographs from the Tauranga City Air Show in January 2018
